Getting help
We want to make sure that people have easy access to talking therapies to help improve their health and wellbeing.
It is estimated that nearly 20,000 people within Blackburn with
Darwen suffer from either anxiety or depression and Mindcare will
help to ensure that they get the help and support they need to work
towards recovery.
Mindcare is the new primary care mental health service, created
to offer a single point of access to all mental health
services. A dedicated team are available to help you reach
your ultimate goal of emotional wellbeing, by offering a personal
service, tailored to the needs of each individual.
At each step of the way support is offered in the community or
primary care setting. The Mindcare team are multi-disciplined,
fully trained and qualified professionals with experience in mental
health.
Blackburn with Darwen has recruited 14 therapists with the aim
of providing more than 2700 new treatments over the next two
years. The Blackburn with Darwen Improved Access to Psychological
Therapies (IAPT) service will be provided by Mindcare.
