Computers can help you to stay independent. You can use a computer to order your shopping online, stay in touch with family and friends or find out information.

Ability Net

Ability Net is a charity that provides free help with computers, tablets and smartphones to older people and disabled people of all ages.  You can arrange a home visit with one of their carefully selected and vetted 'ITCanHelp' volunteers. Age UK Blackburn with Darwen

Age UK Blackburn with Darwen run IT courses and give tuition on how to use a mobile phone or tablet.  They also offer an outreach digital programme which includes the loan for up to 6 months of a laptop for housebound older people and 1-to-1 IT tuition.   For further information visit the Age UK BwD website
